DASI Brown Bag - Storytelling Is Not Just For Data

Description

This session will demonstrate how interactive storytelling can enhance the teaching of introductory data analysis, making it more accessible and impactful for both students and educators. Storytelling has long been part of business education, often through instructor anecdotes and case studies. While recent focus has been on data storytelling, storytelling itself is a broader teaching tool. By combining it with hypertext and using simple Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, instructors can now create interactive learning experiences without special training. The demonstration uses techniques that require minimal technical knowledge and offer a more engaging way to present complex business cases and data analysis, highlighting the role of managerial decision-making. Hosted by Bob Andrews, Kellie Keeling and Reza Kheirandish with presentation by David F. Stephen, Two Bridges Instructional Technology. This event is FREE to all. Registration is required.
